State Park and Forest Trail Maps
Most state parks and forests have trail maps available at their offices which can be reached by calling 800-CALL-WVA. Not all of these maps are up-to-date, however, and most were prepared with day hikers in mind, not cyclists. For good riding routes and current trail conditions, check with park headquarters.

State, County and Urban Road Maps
Official county maps are as accurate as US Geological Survey topos, minus the contour lines; mileage of all numbered road segments are given to the nearest .1 mile, but road and street names are omitted.

West Virginia Transportation System, Map-WV30
Shows statewide rail trails, railroads, major highways, airports, and navigable waterways as of July 1995. Some 13 rail trails are indicated. While useful in locating these trails, more than 165 more miles of rail trails have been added to West Virginia's rail trail system since 1995.
